Zipgrad1990
Well on the one hand I wish Can't would have at least made it close. On the other, I hate Can't State!

GoZips88
I was JUST trying to explain to my wife why I CAN'T support the MAC through Can't. I've tried to rationalize it different ways but it just isn't in me. Let the spanking continue!
zipsbandman
Go Pitt!! Sorry MAC, can't do it. OSU takes enough of our publicity.I doubt Michigan is rooting for OSU.
Zipgrad1990
I guess my biggest problem with Can't is that I went to Akron during the Bob Huggins era and it should have been Akron with the success, not Can't. But at the time Akron was more interested in investing in the football program and they went independant which gave Huggins another reason to leave. He would have left anyway, but maybe we could have gotten another year or two out of him first. And then after Huggins left we had those great pair of coaches Crawford (the worst!) and Hipster (the second worst?).
Balki Bartokomous
Wow, who would have thought that AKron would be the only MAC team with a post season win this year. GO ZIPS!
Balki Bartokomous
Albany beating UConn would have been the greatest thing to happen to non Major schools. Oh well. Akron making the Final Four next year will have to do.

RooWho?
First of all, Akron would have gotten their butts kicked as bad as, if not worse, than K ent did tonight. Pitt's size and skill made them a formidable opponent. Secondly, congrats on your guys' win against Temple. However, I find it disgusting you can't even stick with your conference no matter which team it is. I rooted for Akron in the NIT before they blew it against Creighton. You knew Pitt would have been a tough game, and let's face it, K ent sucked tonight. But let's be real here - Akron would not have been any better off with the crappy seed the committee gave the MAC.Not to mention what espn.com said about March Madness:http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...e=murphy/060316So, to you guys that refuse to support us, we'll just have to kill you again next year.Oh, and in case you forgot, K ent = :macc:
Balki Bartokomous
keep on thinking about this basketball season Can't, while you suffer through another 1-11 season. so incase YOU forgot:Akron = :macc: in Football, Soccer, track and field. and enjoy your slide to Akron's bitch next year in all sports. Blue & Gold
I'll admit, I was pulling for Can't last night! I had them in the Sweet 16 of my bracket. (I also had NEVADA in the Final Four - my bracket's dead.) I'm always for MAC schools when they play out of conference. I was also pulling for Miami in the NIT (that pains me as much as rooting for Can't.) But man, we need a solid showing from ALL of the MAC next year!!!!!!! I heard the MAC was 1 - 10 against MVC schools?!?! Not acceptable!!! They had a great year, but we should be beating down on MVC schools!!!!!Go MAC!Go Zips! You had the better team - end of story. I do think your team played with intensity in the second half. It looked like you guys were going to make a run. However, I hope you understand the postition of the fans who were rooting for Pitt. Remember, Akron and Can't are very close in proximity. We compete for recruits, and we compete for press. Can't State winning would have been great for the rest of the MAC, but not for Akron, and this was more of strategic thing for me. A lot of your fans supported Akron in the Motor City Bowl, but then there were some that thought the same way I think, which I understand fully.I look forward to some great games with you guys in the future.
