Chauncey slashing!!! Love it!!

Can't is taking it to Zeke because of his aggressiveness. 2 fouls on Zeke in the last 2 possessions.

They have an answer for every mini-run we put together. Reminds me of the Buffalo game last weekend.

Zips shooting 5-12 from the FT line.

I can deal with the loss. We showed an extreme amount of fight.

What I cannot deal with is the fact that those Ohio University losers think they've won something, and with a win against Miami tomorrow, will get to hang a banner for sharing the MAC regular season championship with us.

That might be the biggest tragedy of all. Can't beat us in 2 attempts but they sure get to celebrate like they've won something. :puke:

If Betancourt stays in, I think we pull it off. I give him a mulligan, he had a huge burden thrust upon him today. I think he's gonna be fine.

I think Walsh looked good at the point, and Reggie showed some stuff at the end. He might be worthy of PG consideration.

More on point, NO DEJI

Just keep him around for when we need to give a foul.

I'm glad we have a few byes to get our PG situation sorted out. A.A.'s loss is a big blow, but maybe we have enough time to put a patch on it. Also, props to Chauncey for looking close to 100%. I did like how several people stepped up, and showed a lot of heart. Alex made plays, but was turnover prone too.

About 24 hours after the Zips learned they would be without their starting PG, they tried to patch together a lineup that would be effective, and they came oh so close. Melo gave his best effort. But the true freshman who had only been averaging 9 minutes per game was not physically up to the long minutes. He cramped up 3 times, and on the 3rd time they had to carry him back to the locker room. His body was just not able to keep up with what his heart was trying to will it to do. Deji is just not an effective PG. It was a lot to ask of everyone who tried a minute or two at the point. And even with all that, the Zips win going away if they just hit their average shooting percentage. Poor shooting on top of the turmoil at PG was the final nail in the coffin. All the players deserve great credit for the effort they put forth. The crowd was magnificent. They were in it all the way and the JAR was rocking.

The Zips now have a week to figure out who can play how many minutes at the point and be effective doing it. A week of practice can make a big difference, both physically and mentally. I have no doubt in my mind that this team can still W2@Q. It won't be easy, but it is within reach. It will take better coordination among the players, and a week of practice will help a lot there. It will take better shooting, for sure. But I'm not sure how much more effort the players can put out at the Q, because they were giving a lot tonight. Tree was almost superhuman at times. At one point he had to go to the bench for a concussion examination because he hit his head on the floor so hard that he was dazed. But he came back in and kept giving his all. The loss stings. But the season isn't over yet.

I am with you, the team needs to step up meet the challenge. Betencourt did I nice job tonight.

Rebounds were a major problem and that has nothing to do with AA

Lots of raw emotions coming through. This week needs to be one of coming together as a team and show the character they all have.

Lots of heart at the end of the game, just came a little too late.

Friday will be great, I will be there.

GO ZIPS you have worked very hard not finish it off.

Dave, I can not help but think that we lost by less than AA's 10 PPG. And assists.

I am disappointed, but NOT upset. With the hand we were dealt, we came roaring back and almost pulled it out. In fact, Reggies late foul with 7 on the shot clock may have sealed the deal, but he really had a good game. I would like to see him at PG. I think he is a great athlete.

Now we have a week to work it out, not one day. The problem is that we have to change our basic game plan, because it relies on AA getting 10 points and 6 assists. KD is a great coach, and will work it out.

The one thing no one has mentioned yet is the way we played defense at the end. We were pressing and stealing and came back from 15 down to 3 down. We need to play more of that.

And Melo better eat his wheaties.
