Replacing Can't Smith is a big task for them though and this is a very winnable game. WNorth Texas: Don't know much about them but seems like a game we should be able to win pretty handily. WCan't St.: Surprised to even see them on the schedule. I thought they dropped football WCinncinnati: Could we pick up two BCS wins this year? If we can get one from NC St. it looks good when we've got a bottom dweller Big East team on the schedule. WI agree this could be a favorable schedule for our overall record if we play like we did late last year. Beyond the early away games this looks like a great and manageable schedule. PSu(L) JoPa will be armed and dangerous this year. We'd be wise to learn from his experience in this game.nSc (W) cold go either way but a great early test, i don't believe my state friends will be expecting us in raleigh. nSc is very inconsistent.CMU (W) Yeah it's on the road "again" but winable!NT (W) Very cautious about this one. Depends whether or not last year was a rebuilding year, and how far they came. Don't underestimate the Mean Green as we hope others will us! Great pick/name for the home opener! I like it a lot.CANT (W) Let's face it. Even if we are blowing the first half of the season like we did last year this is essentially another home game due to proximity. If for no other reason than "It's Cant!" the east side should be packed! UC (W) Good match up, hopefully we'll play a team similar to the one they fielded last year and still come out with a win.Summary:>A VERY Optimistic 5-1, but hey I was around for the Faust years.>too many road games but it leaves us with a good chance for a great record, which could lead to good attendance in late autumn???? Dale Carnegie Posted April 9, 2006 Report Posted April 9, 2006 Next season could actually be one of the worst years for attendance. The North Texas game will get a crows close to 20,000 but the remaining home games are late in the season which means cold weather. Remember last years Can't game, barely anyone went. I remember leaving the Can't game at half time because it was so cold. That idea turned out to be a bad one. The Can't game should be in the beginning of the year so that there horrible record won't keep people at home.North Texas is going to be a serious challenge even if it is a home game. Cinci is are only for sure win out of our non-conference games.Toledo is another one, there program is known for beating bcs schools and has been ranked several times. I'll pray to the gods for this one.NC State is another PSU game for us.I have nothing against being optimistic but I'm going to honestly say this is a schedule that could kill this programs momentum and could stunt our growth. But hey, this could be the year. Quote
KeeprOFtheHous Posted April 10, 2006 Report Posted April 10, 2006 I think the 24th of november the day after turkey day was the worst idea ever!! Quote
