www.nfldraftcountdown.com which I consider to be one of the best free online draft reports and scouting sites in the process of updating their position rankings has finally noticed Hixon. In fact they have noticed him so much he is on their front page. Check it out if you get a chance. Just a few quotes

One of the latest additions was Akron wide receiver Domenik Hixon, who is shooting up draft boards on the heels of some excellent workouts.
A smooth athlete with great timed speed and quickness.
Smart and a hard worker with top intangibles.
Check out the front page to the site as well as Domeniks scouting report at http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingr...menikhixon.htmlHe is currently listed as their #25 WR prospect.

Hixon will not get drafted.  Everybody thought Matt Cherry would get drafted too, and he's still struggling to make a roster.
I will respectfully disagree. I can see how you would say that, but I think DH has his 40 time going for him.Another thing he has going for him, is the fact that he used to play DB. He is seen as an athlete becuase he played two positions in college. The NFL is a copycat league (yeah it's a cliche, but it's true). Some think the Steelers won with their receivers because they are able to play multiple positions (it's not true, but lookat the contract El scored.) Another thing he has in his favor is that catch he made in the MAC championship game.He told me himself, that is what everybody talks to him about. That got him remembered. Got him on SC.I would be willing to bet a beer on it

from scout.comDominik Hixon, Akron's explosive wide receiver and return specialist, met with the Packers in Green Bay last week, his agent, Eric Metz, has confirmed.Hixon has caught fire among a number of NFL teams lately after running the 40-yard dash in 4.34 seconds during his Pro Day workout March 10.he has worked out for just about everyone that is looking for a wr. the site also states that he has a workout with the colts on the 17th... cherry wasn't has tall nor explosive as hixon. hixon is more like a taller jake scafino (who doesn't get hurt) i really think with all of this mo working for him he'll be a 4th to 5th rounder. the nfl is notorious for jumping on guys who have a good buzz going into the draft and hixon has that! lets hope he goes as high as possible as it will only help the program grow :screwks:

Probably the biggest thing working against him is his effinity for the crotch rockets. After the Kellen Winslow deal a lot of people are going to shy away from that. I still am borderline seeing him getting drafted. Most of the latest mocks I see though have have him being selected, usually in the late 6th round or 7th round but occasionally as early as the 5th.

Ian McShay's last mock draft has all seven rounds and has Hixon going in the 7th round pick 248 to the Bills ... while the Bills would be a good spot for him I hope that he doesn't go that low in the draft. :screwks:

With the recent news of the stress fracture in his foot (even though it is considered non-serious) his stock might slip a little. Its too bad because he was really climbing the boards. I had seen him in some mocks all the way into the fifth round.
