zipboy
Not a fan of the Big 10 or the teams in it. Looking at it from a MAC perspective, channel 19 and 43 showed all big 10 games from ESPN+ last year. Will the MAC be able to get some of that air time or will those channels just show a movie of the week? What about Sportime Ohio? Seems like they need to really get some programming to fill their dead time. How about a partnership with the MAC, get some regular Wed night bball games? Baseball should not intefere with basketball much at all.
Blue & Gold
I had some of the same thoughts. Now that the Big 10 has their own network, shouldn't that open things up a bit for the MAC?!
mrelegazna
I might've interpreted it wrong, but I don't think those second-tier Big Ten games are moving away from ESPN Plus. I think they will probably "share" those games, and probably the only games the Big Ten network will show exclusively are the super-clunkers like Illinois vs. Indiana that even ESPN Plus won't pick up. PSU_Nut
1. The new contract increases the number of games shown on ESPN and ABC. The biggest difference is that if a game is ABC regional then the rest of the nation not in that area can see it on ESPN.2. The remaining games will be on the Big Ten channel. These games would be the ones normally seen on ESPN plus. It is unclear if individual channels can purchase games like they could with ESPn Plus. It will be carried by direct TV in all markets.
