Dave in Green
Buckzip, thanks, that's the kind of info I'm interested in. Doing a little research myself, I see out of HS he had offers from Florida, Auburn, South Carolina and Clemson, so he was obviously evaluated highly by top SEC teams. He also had offers from Southern California and a host of other major schools. He's either the real deal or he fooled a lot of schools that some rate higher than tOSU. At 6-2, 243 pounds he appears to be a bit of a tweener in going back and forth between OLB and weakside DE. He's fairly quick for his size with a 4.6-second 40. It will be interesting to see how Coach Amato positions him. There appears to be mixed opinion on just how good he is He has all the tools to be an outstanding player at the MAC level, but it will ultimately depend on how badly he wants it.. My best guess at this point is that he is likely to be at least a solid player for UA.
Balsy
There's been a lot of chatter about QB in a couple of other threads. I thought I'd do a little follow-up on the 2016 QB commit that the Zips have (note I'm not taking a shot at Pohl, because this guy won't arrive on campus until AFTER Pohl's senior year). He's been an intriguing prospect for the Zips, and arguably one of the highest ranked QB recruits the Zips have had in a long time (4-star by ESPN, 3-star by rivals). Most of us don't think we'll be able to keep such a highly talented recruit, but in his interview with Hustlebelt he stated that he fell in love with the campus, the program and, most importantly, Bowden.Jacob Harrison plays for the Chaminade Julienne Catholic high School (I'm not catholic so I have no idea what a "Chaminade Julienne" even is...). He was recently the Player of The Week for the team and featured on the local news outlet. So far on the season he led his team to a 3-1 record and has recorded these stats:66/99, 1157 yards, 10 TD, 2 INT, 328 rushing yards on 34 attempts, 4 TD and 0 fumbles.
