I noticed that freshman RB Andre Boone is no longer on the roster. Does anybody know anything about this???

the coaches let him go. for what reasons i dont know. but on signing day we never got his papers because his father was in the hospital and coulndt sign them. i dont know if it has anything to do with that.

That kind of stinks. A position that looked to have been one of the team's deepest now looks pretty shaky.

Yeah. He was one of our big recruits last year! And with Alex Allen apparently going down, who will Kennedy's backup be?

The back up RB spot will most likely go to Alex Allen, since he is the most experienced RB no the team behind Kennedy. Aaris Reed could challenge Allen though, and could possibly even start next season in a two-back set if he proves himself. Bryant McMillon and Joe McDaniel will round out the position.

what about allen's knee? he looked like his season was over at saturday's afternoon practice.

i was at the meet the team day today and allen was on crutches and had a full leg knee brace on not good at all lets hope reed can help out asap and does any one know if boone plans on enrolling in spring?

I hadn't heard about the injury when I made that last post. I did not see Blue & Gold's post when I wrote it. So... sorry about that. In that case, true freshman Aaris Reed will most likely be the back up, though I hope Allen has a speedy recovery.

actually Aaris reed is recovering from a knee scoping he had not to long ago. he may be practicing in a week or two.

ooo and look for mcmillon to be the 2nd stringer. The team also moved Andre Walker to rb the first day of camp because of reed needing to get his knee scoped. they also moved deandre descott to rb today due to alex allen injury.

To be honest I'm not TOO concerned about our RB situation, hopefully Reed will be back from surgery quickly.I am really excited about this kid, Harvey, Hakes, and Reed were my favorite recruits coming in this fall. It'd kinda be nice to see another one (Reed) getting playing time this year along side Harvey.

Did you notice there are pictures of every player including freshmen. Why can't the U of A make that happen?

I'm not sure about that. It could be that the University is looking for additional sources of revenue to afford pictures.... something in the $500 range. Any ideas?

Lenoire Rhyne is no junior college. It's a four-year NAIA institution. Not quite Mount Union, but they (NAIA) don't have any real academic standards, so maybe Andre will fit in there. Best of luck to him.
