ziptrumpet87 Posted August 16, 2006 Report Posted August 16, 2006 On the way home yesterday at around 5:30 I heard a spot for season tickets. It came across well especially in informing how affordable the family plan is, but the little "fear the roo" jingle wasn't that fearful. Quote
ZachTheZip Posted August 16, 2006 Report Posted August 16, 2006 I heard it too. Its the first U of A radio ad i've heard in a while. I agree that it was very informative, but what was up with that Fear the Roo thing? It could've been much better than that. I wonder why I havn't heard this commercial on WZIP yet. It would be free advertising. Quote
AkronURocks Posted August 16, 2006 Report Posted August 16, 2006 I heard it too. While informative, I thought it was rather low-quality.I believe WZIP can not run commercials since they are a non-commercial radio station. Someone correct me if I am wrong. Quote
zen Posted August 16, 2006 Report Posted August 16, 2006 The commercial itself wasn't that bad at all, but you are right, when they jingled the "Fear the Roo" moniker, it was completely ghey. Did sesame street help with that or what? Quote
RowdyZip Posted August 16, 2006 Report Posted August 16, 2006 ZIP plays plenty of commercials...dunno if they ever play any ones for the U. Don't think I've ever even heard a DJ mention a sports score... Quote
