Herb Pope going to Can't State???

There is a rumor going around the PA sports board website. that Herb Pope is looking to be recruited by Can't State. Pope is from Aliquippa PA. He is ranked 4th in the country as a forward. I feel this might be a rumor, however I wanted to know if anyone heard something about this? He would be in the 2007 class.

This would be quite unfortunate to say the least, however, I doubt that it's true.

I thought I heard he already committed to Pitt. Anyway, I doubt he ends up at Can't unless there are very serious eligibility issues (Anyone can make it at Can't - just ask Antonio "I failed out of 5 schools" Gates....but hey he's a millionaire now so who's to say). Pope had some pretty big schools looking at him according to all the scouting resources. All would have to pass, seems unlikely.

He's been offered scholarships by Kansas State (Huggins), Pitt (Dixon), Louisville (Pitino), and Memphis (Calipari), among others. I'll go out on a limb and bet that you'll never see him put on a Can't State uniform.

Thanks for the insight. I did find out the Kansas is look at him. I knew that he had gave a verbel to Pitt. However it looks like that might not happen.
