I’m starting to be a little concerned………….I’m a big Superman backer, but my gut’s telling me something is not quite right with his game.A big difference between the College game and the Pro game is that the Pro’s play those hated pre-season “dress rehersals”………true looks never last much more than a full quarter or so, but as fans we get a glimpse of what the main line guys are all about. To me, an observer of almost every one of his games since he stepped onto the field vs Ohio in relief of another “starter” way back when, he just does not look confident. It looks like he’s a high school volleyball player (know what I mean?) afraid to make a mistake. And then when his instincts finally break out from his ability to suppress them, crap, he does make a mistake.Maybe over time this will fix itself…………..maybe he needs 4 quarters to “get it going” or something………….I don’t know………..all I can say is it just doesn’t seem like my guy is playing like he’s capable right now.Thoughts?

I hope it's a combination of the problem at C and the coaching staff not really wanting to let him show what he can do. Also may have to do with the rotation of lots of WR's & TE's to see what they can do. dunno.

Preseason is preseason, I wouldn't worry about him this early.I bet he comes out blazin against the mighty Saints.I remember last year, all the Steeler fans were concerned that Ben didn't get his offense in the endzone the whole preseason. The line stinks, but you can count on Chuck.

all I can say is it just doesn’t seem like my guy is playing like he’s capable right now.

He has a terribly oooffensive offensive coordinator. Hopefully that issue is quickly resolved.

I think the Offensive coordinator has changed his ways in the off-season. He actually called for some plays using a kind of spread offense, and he never would have done that last season.
