UAZipster0305 Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/foo...800&POE=SPOISVAI actually think the QB from NH should win, but I voted for Kennedy and UA anyhow. Flex that Nation muscle and propel Kennedy to the recognition he and the program deserve! Quote
bobbyake Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 is it possible to not allow cookies and vote over and over again? Quote
zen Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 is it possible to not allow cookies and vote over and over again? No, I just voted and I never got a prompt to set a cookie in mozilla (I have it set to prompt for all new cookies)I refreshed and the results still displayed, so it's probably IP based.[edit] oh wait, that's odd. I just opened it in IE and it let me vote there, so it can't be solely IP based.[edit-2] Okay, I forgot that I turned of my cookie prompt setting. If anyone wants to try out this theory, set your browser not to allow any new cookies, and try voting. Kangaroo Craig Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 As of 3:55 ET, Kennedy has 14% of the vote. He trails Lauranitis (OSU) 49% and Johnson (Boise St.) 22%. We need to get the vote out! Quote
bobbyake Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 i could make an announcement on facebook, it would reach about 600 people, Quote
zen Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 I made an announcement on a site that will get a lot more than 600.Kennedy has already jumped from 14% to 18% Quote
ZachTheZip Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 Vote Here!He is up to 26%, behind only James Laurinaitis who has 37% Quote
RowdyZip Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 Hey guys. spend a few minutes and help me get DK up to the top. you can clear out your cookies and re-vote as much as you want. I've got it up to 29% for DK and 34% for whatshisname from the bucks. HELP! Quote
bobbyake Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 how do i unaccept cookies??? then i wouldn't have to clear everytime. Quote
bobbyake Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 I think Boise State is doing the same thing. Quote
zen Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 how do i unaccept cookies??? then i wouldn't have to clear everytime. I was using Mozilla Firefox.I always have it set to prompt me before accepting cookies:Tools -> Options -> Cookies Then the first time I went to the voting page at USAtoday, I told it to deny the cookie and checked the box that said "Use this choice for all cookies from this site", which means that they wouldn't be able to set cookies anymore.I bet I have atleast 100 votes in on there already. Quote
bobbyake Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 i have 10 votes, still haven't figured it out yet, i tried something in privacy of internet options that says prompt. i'm going to see if it works Quote
bobbyake Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 i figured out how to vote 10 times in a minute, but you have to hit refresh 2 times after you vote, then vote again, hit refresh 2 times, vote again, you first have to ask to prompt for cookies Quote
zen Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 I think that should work. But remember to check the little checkbox taht says something to the effect of "apply this setting to all cookies from this site".Pretty soon, the prompt will stop and you can keep refreshing and voting. Quote
bobbyake Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 wow, just block the cookies, go to tooks, internet options, privacy, advance, then set block 1st and 3rd party cookies, Delete all cookies, then vote, hit refresh, vote again, hit refresh, you can do at least 20 a minute Quote
zen Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 can we get busted for this? They say absolutely no where that multiple voting is prohibited.[edit]okay, Kennedy is ahead now. I'm done.I feel like such a loser refreshing / revoting for all that time. Quote
bobbyake Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 lol, this is kinda funny. Kennedy is #1, who's all voting??? Everytime I vote, I see 9 or 10 other votes. I know someone from Boise State is, they're floating at 22. This shows the power of the ZipsNation. Quote
ZachTheZip Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 If you are using firefox, the trick is to scroll to the top of the page before you refresh. at least that's what works for me. Quote
RowdyZip Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 i'm still voting. dang i'm a loser. dk is up to 35%, i'll do like 15 more. Quote
zen Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 Boise State just hit 23 woah, you were so right when you thought you saw Boise State rolling up stats while the others dropped. Over night, they kept up their voting and now lead it. Quote
ZachTheZip Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 If we stop voting, there is no doubt in my mind that Kennedy will lose to either the guy from Boise St. or that Laryngitis guy from OSU. They are tied, and only 2% behind Kennedy. This may be our only chance (hopefully not) to have a Player of the Week in USA Today. Quote
RowdyZip Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 hmmmm....anyone else not seeing the poll anymore? i know it ends at noon... Quote
