RACER
the way this team plays it's hard to say how the season will end up.Can't is beating m.ohio, buffalo played bg into o.t. ,toledo lost the first two games then beat kansas last night. western was beating virgina. if anybody thinks a we will just roll into the mac championship game is crazy. tha's not to say we can't win the divsion ,but it will not be easy. AK-Zips
brookhart will be with the Zips for at least 4 more years unless he's gunning for a job in Colorado, which could happen.no way... after next season he will be gone unless we can pay him something close to his worth in the open market. 4 more years is a dream. I wish he would stay but i am also a realist. he's not even at the top of the list. Explain to me why he'd be gone?? there is a lot more than wins and losses. if a coac his not happy becasue of whatever that may be happeneing from within that would be a motivator to leave. that is just one example of things that could happen but think about it; there are so many off-the-field issues that could affect a coach's status other than w and l's. the season is not over. if we win the MAC again you will see his name surface as a candidate at many other schools. I believe he will sign his extension in the off-season but will leave after next season... just a hunch... go zips
bobbyake
if anything, he'll coach at Colorado State, but i don't see him leaving anytime soon. He's Akron's coach and future.

Also, he beat a crappy NC State team that probably will be lucky to win another game against a 1-A team this year. We also need to work on consistency as a team, and stop it with these letdowns after a big win. JD is an outstanding coach but he still needs a bigger resume. Much of this loss is on the coach. He has to have his team ready for the conference.
UA Fan
I disagree. The QB & PK mistakes cost us this one. INT for a touchdown, missing an open Tuzze TD pass, poor kicks. Getsy makes a lot of big plays, he just needs to find some consistency and not force the ball. Looks like CMU made a good hire in Brian Kelly. Boy can we use a home game about now. Anyone know if it will be televised?
liljc
A very bad first half of football. I don't know why they weren't ready, but they weren't. They actually looked pretty good in the second half but they were in too big a hole. Where is Igor? How is his back? Tell him we NEED him! We cannot win games if we cannot convert field goals and extra points. Luke will have better days. He's a gamer and he'll put this one behind him.
