LZIp Posted June 15, 2016 Report Posted June 15, 2016 (edited) They are naming 4th teams in these things now? Participation trophy effect. DeAndre Scott continues to be underrated. Also, here is the complete listing for anyone interested, http://athlonsports.com/college-football/mac-football-2016-all-conference-team Edited June 15, 2016 by LZIp Quote
skip-zip Posted June 15, 2016 Report Posted June 15, 2016 Based on what these prognosticators have done in the past, I'm pretty happy to see 4 guys on the First and Second teams, especially since we only return a handful of starters. Obviously, seeing a Newcomer on the 2nd team is pretty shocking. I'm sure it's a testament to what they've seen of him before. I'm thrilled to get this guy, and hope it all works out. And with 3 of those 4 guys on the 1st/2nd teams being transfers, are we ever going to complain again about bringing in non-freshmen?? Quote

He finished 3rd in the conference in INT/game and 7th in passes defended/game. According to Pro Football Focus, before the bowl season he had the third-highest coverage grade among CBs in the entire nation, and the highest among players outside the Power 5. 1 Quote

Yes, pretty shocking considering that someone like Athlon probably only pays attention to the numbers that they are seeing, and not by actually viewing performances. Quote
