Post-game thoughts

Logged on at the in-laws, so will keep it brief. Went from looking like a great afternoon to turning out to be a stinker. Just went to gozips.com to get stats and read JD's postgame quotes. NOTHING. Did anyone even travel with the team from sports info? Thats pathetic. The game story is two lines long. Now click over to gobearcats.com. Full game story, quotes, notes, and audio interviews from their coach and 5 players. Worst part? I lost a bet and had to take the in-laws out to dinner tonight. Nippert was a nice stadium. The building next door (Lindner?) was awesome. Walked around a bit before kickoff and was impressed bigtime. Saw UAM and MT. Saw Tommy G doing his pregame show. Good showing of zips fans. I am whipped. Will post more tomorrow from home.2-4 :puke:

glad you had a great time, and you liked the whole varsity village thing. So Far MT and MW have done a great job for UC, things will keep improving. I was section 203 for the game today, seems UA brought a small group of fans. UC played bad the first qtr, but rest of the game played good. Good luck the rest of the season, until we play again up in the Rubber Bowl.;)B)

Wow, what a long day. Beautiful weather and campus. Nice stadium. Pitiful showing by the Zips offense. You cannot win football games by playing a quarter here and a quarter there. Really good showing by the defense, but they were on the field almost all the time for the last 3 quarters. They were exhausted. It was great to see UAM, he's a class act and the Cincy is lucky to have him. It was also very cool to hear Tommy G on the radio broadcast in the concourse as we walked up. Maybe they can get it all together and beat Miami. They'd better. Any predictions on attendence for that one? Uggh!

The irony is that MT's fingerprints are more on Akron's program right now than Cinci's since he hired JDB and not Dantonio. But I think Cinci will continue to get better since they are in the Big East now...it should give them a recruiting advantage over the MAC schools and they already have their facilities up to snuff. And with Huggins (Akron --> Cinci) re-establishing the hoops there, MT should have some room to run.
