Sergeant Zip Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 All I have is ESPN Gamecast and it is 10 - 0 WMU in the 3rd QTR. For some reason they have Andy Hildreth, a soph Punter, in at QB. I am sure that is an error by ESPN. Kennedy is averaging less the 1.5 ypa. Quote
Zipgrad1990 Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 The gozips.com live stats has the zips down 17-0 and Akron only has 10 yards rushing as a team. Kennedy does have a whopping 22 yards on 10 carries. Quote
Zipgrad1990 Posted November 24, 2006 Report Posted November 24, 2006 Luke Getsy has had a second 3 and out this quarter, the Zips are down 17-0 and their is less than 7 minutes remaining and WMU has the ball. If we get another series, please JD put in another quarterback! Quote
Sergeant Zip Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 See ESPNU's video highlights. Mostly of WMU. Quote
Buckzip Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 Damn we suck. Watching JD never put in CJ to at least get some reps when the game is over really makes me lose some respect for him. It's obvious the present sucks. Now he isn't even helping the future. Quote
KentZip Posted November 25, 2006 Report Posted November 25, 2006 This game reminded me of the give-away days that Pro teams have at the end of the year to thank fans for their patronage. You know, the day where they give away the last few thousand items from each give-away during the regular season. In a bizarre and kind of way, the Zips entire football program did that today for the (my estimate) 7,500 fans in attendance. They gave us:Rolling shotgun snapsPersonal foulsNo pass protection for the most partInaccuracy from Getsy when he did have timeNo running attackA mostly capable defensive showingDropped ballsTight ends looking like they were on drugs - out of sync with Getsy, slow to reactLow snaps on puntsAt least one high snap on a field goal attempt contributing to a blockDropped passesTwo running backs kept in the backfield for protection on passing plays who downright whiffed their blocks or were thrown aside like rag dollsAnother flag thrown on the coaching staff for a sideline warningA 54 yard field goal attempt before half time that was no better than the students kicking for prizes at half time. There may have been more, but I left when WMU made it 17-0.
