ZachTheZip
The Zips should take care of Niagara with no problem whatsoever. This is just another game to sort out the roster and practice 3pt shots. Akron wins 89-

Tiffin?Besides Nevada and Duquesne, I don't see much there. We blew an opportunity with the AK Little Rock loss.We had better win the MAC because we will be no where near an at-large bid with that kind of non-league sked. What do you think? MRasor0200
Oral Roberts is going to have a high RPI at the end of the season. They beat Kansas at Kansas. The Zips will play a lot of teams who are expected to win their conference. Don't discount Binghamton, Loyola and (obviously) Nevada.I actually think this is more advantageous than going to Cal, like last year, when you have no chance against their fans, talent and refs.I wrote a bit about Niagara, who would be much better if the star player didn't beat the sh** out of a baseball player.http://blogs.ohio.com/rasor
zip81
I was looking at our schedule on Yahoo. They didn't have the ORU game on there.http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaab/teams/aac/scheduleI didn't see Loyola on there....those two teams help, however, I think we can schedule better out of conf. games in the future.Go Zips
ZachTheZip
Our schedule is not that bad. we play some tough teams like the ones mentioned, and some other teams who are not necessarily the best but should finish with a winning record, which will help our RPI. It sure beats going to some school you know we will lose too just because they payed us.Niagara will contend for the MAAC if they get their disciplinary problems taken care of.Oral Roberts is obviously a tough team this yearBinghamton will probably win the American East Conference. The other teams on our schedule provide tune-ups before we start MAC play. The only way we go dancing is by winning the MAC tournament, and this OOC schedule gives us a great opportunity to be ready for conference play. gozips19
this is going to be the way to schedule moving forward unless akron can get a big name team to come to the jar and don't expect that to happen any time soon. the way akron did their schedule is very similar to mvc schools. start with a early tourny and play good quality teams on the road. this really boosts ones rpi. the other factor that should help akron's rpi is that most of the mac should have a good record this year elevating the conference ranking. looking forward to another big akron win tonight! Zip_ME87
Was at the game. Small venue. Great to hear the 4 AK Rowdies who showed and the ~ 2 rows of Zips fans directly behind the Zips bench. Also, nice to meet Nick Dials' parents.GO ZIPS!
