Z-P Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 Mods..........please leave this up on the FB site, it's as legit as it can be, thanks.Everyone knows the ZipDude. He's been here since day one, albeit somewhat less frequently lately.ZipDude's daughter (yes daughter) boarded a flight for Baghdad last week, where she'll be spending at least a year "strapped" and doing her best for you and me.She's a big UA FB fan, so I thought we should all climb on board and send her our best wishes and positive kharma for a successful mission and happy return. How brave our young people are. We are blessed to have such strong young people coming up...........makes me wonder, how many other folks within a few "degrees" do we know over there?Regardless, please join in with your kharma for the Dude and his family! Quote
InTheZone Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 Can't give any "kharma", but I will send my prayers to her and all of our fine Akron-area service men and women over there, doing a great job for a worthy cause, no matter what Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi say. Quote
skip-zip Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 InTheZone....my thoughts exactly. This nation was built on the courageous acts of its people, and I pray for our soldiers daily. People like Reid and Pelosi...well...their ignorant comments simply speak for themselves. We all love the Zips...but I hope we all love the USA and our freedoms even more. Quote
MRasor0200 Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 As someone who has lost a friend over there, my thoughts and prayers are with her. Quote
zip81 Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 ZipDude; Here's hoping your daughter has a safe tour and comes home soon. The same for all of our sons and daughters. God bless them for their service. Quote

zipboy Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 They all said it better than I could - my prayers are with ZipDude and family and all service people. Quote
zip37 Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 Zipdude-- I pray for the troops, tell her "Thanks for your service". Quote
ZipDude Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 Padre, thank you for putting up this post and thanks to all who read and responded. I do not know if I have ever felt as helpless as I did when I spoke to her the night before the "Silver Bird" took her to Iraq. These kids (Generation Next) are so very different, its unbelievable! The thought of Katie (I call her #1) , a civilian, working for the NSA, over there, trained to use an M-16, but always wearing a Glock on her hip, scares me and I am fearless. Thanks for your prayers, thoughts and yes Padre, your Kharma. Go Zips ! Peace out ! Quote
FearTheRoo Posted January 8, 2007 Report Posted January 8, 2007 God bless, thank you so very much for yours and her service, and .....GLOCK ON THE HIP?? M-16??! Shit, don't ever let any of us piss her off!! Quote
