timmyboy
I am writing on a past post that I made, reguarding a local football player from the akron area. This past saturday he got his official offer from Akron an has said he loves the school, the fact that it is in his hometown an that they have some of the best facilities in the country. this would be a GREAT pickup, so im going to keep in his ear an try to push him towards staying home. here are a few of his stats.Ht: 6-0 Wt: 180 40: 4.49 punt returns for TD's2 kick returns for TD's1 INT returned for TD2 pass receptions for TD'sHeres what the scouts say about him:a lockdown CB and a dangerous kick returner. Has scored 14 TD's in two years- two pass receptions, one INT, two kickoff returns, . As a junior, he was named first team All-City, All-County,

Blue & Gold
I think that must be the same Adams that lights up the basketball box score for Buchtel twice a week? If it is, he's really gotta be quite the athlete!
akronad
It is the same kid.
Blue & Gold
So he's still a junior this year? If so, it's good to see us getting a jump on these top recruits and get them thinking Zips a.s.a.p. Hopefully he'll wanna be a homeboy and represent! No selling out to Cowlumbus or Pitt or Northwestern!!! Keepin' it real!
akronad
Johnny is a Jr. I spoke with his head fb coach Buchtel (Claude Brown) last night and Akron has made an offer. I just hope he accepts now and takes the mystery away.

Show him that we are interested in him, and don't back off if he gets other offers to bigger schools. Loyalty is often when recruiting because the "BCS" schools will back off in a hurry at the first sign of trouble, or at the prospect of getting someone better. Of course, being a successful team on the field can help attract prospects too.
