Nice job but.......Bryan Williams will be playing RB. So the comment about not getting a RB is false. Also don't rip on the QB. He is a solid talent with tons of upside. Plus he was a three star.......Also Morgan Williams the RB that Toledo got is a prop48. I would not put a player who is not going to play next year and may never play on any kind of great player list.....

I personally don't expect Morgan Williams to be eligible in 2007, but Prop 48 does not exist anymore. The article in the Canton Rep about him being Prop 48 is factually wrong.I've been told he may still be able to get qualified for 2007. If he does great. If not, he pays his way through school in the 2007-08 academic year and then goes on scholarship for 2008 assuming he gets qualified and has 4 years to play 4.Knowing that he could very well be qualified, especially by 2008, I think you have to give him mention. Especially since technically it is possible for any player signed at any school to never play.Back a few years Chester Taylor came to UT in the same situation. He sat out his first year as a Prop 48 (the rule was around back then) and then played in '98, '99, 2000, and 2001. He turned out to be a great player, winning the MAC MVP Award in 2001 and is now the starting running back for the Minnesota Vikings. Morgan Williams has a lot better potential on the field of play if he gets his academics in order. Even if he doesn't play in 2007, and in reality he probably would redshirt in 2007 anyway with Jalen Parmele being a senior in '07.The one that gets me that nobody is talking about is wide receiver Kaunda Hancock. The kid had 3 or 4 BCS offers and has great hands. He camped at the University of Michigan in the summer and won the award for the best hands out of the receivers at the camp. Many receivers at that camp signed with BCS schools. He isn't that slow as the guy in the article says either. He just doesn't have 4.4 speed, but not that many receivers do.

Worse.. he's at WR at the beginning of the article and QB as the best player..."Top top pluck from the Pennsylvania haul is WR Bryan Williams, who was dissed by Pitt on a late January visit, and promptly committed his services to Akron. ""Best Player: Bryan Williams, QB"At least be consistent in the error... Followed by this gem: "But how do you sign 24 players, and not a single RB and only one QB, who was just barely considered a top 40 player in Pennsylvania?"Dude, you just listed Bryan Williams as a QB... :tomato: and he is a RB!!!It's bad enough when other media screw it up but when the "MAC Report Online" does it, it's just sad.

Sure, these things are inaccurate.I'm wondering how many MAC schools have the same problem as us over the last few years. Get a letter of intent from a major recruit, and he never makes it there. There has to be other MAC schools who take chances on guys, and end up in the same boat as us. I know our recruiting has been great the last few years, and I'm just ready to see it start to pay dividends on the field.

You know what is even more hilarious? Take a look at the All-MAC Signee team at the top of the page and Williams is playing Safety???I'm so confused I don't even know where he is playing anymore.

Yeah. Just a few comments:1. MACReport ragged on us for not signing a RB?! Well, as already stated, Bryan Williams is a RB! (More talented than Morgan Williams for that matter - though Toledo will get Morgan for 4 years, where as we only get Bryan for 2.) And GARY PRIDE is a top RB too!!! Did they forget about him?!2. Yeah, I hope Morgan Williams does well. I wish he'd signed with us but, oh, well. But honestly, from what I hear, Toledo will be lucky to get him eligible. From what I hear he's not 'as dumb as a box of rocks,' or anything like that. I just hear he really struggles hard just to get passing grades. It will be a very real challenge for UT to get him eligible, let alone to keep him eligible.3. MACReport made it sound as if Matt Rodgers isn't a quality prospect because he was barely in the Pennsylvania Top 40. But he was ranked by Rivals as the 29th best dual-threat QB in the country! So, come on fellas. Talk about looking too hard for something negative. That gripe appears to be simply contrived.

I hear ya, and really he is just icing on the cake for Toledo. If he gets eligible then watch out. If not, here's our roster for 2007 and their star rating when recruited:*** SR Scooter McDougle (if he can finally get healthy and in shape)** SR Jalen Parmele (pretty damn good for a 2 star recruit though)** JR Richard Davis (good speed, but is starting to get buried on the depth chart)*** SO DaJuane Collins (this kid can play and had the best YPC average on the team)*** R-FR Dontae Jones (been hearing a lot of good things about him)*** FR Gordon Warner (1,800 yards on a team in Florida that had another RB sign I-A)*** FR Morgan Williams (We will see if he gets eligible but look at our depth w/o him)** FR Adonis Thomas (originally committed to Kansas State and has 4.4 speed)Even without Scooter and Morgan if they don't pan out, we have six quality running backs in that list. I could see either Adonis Thomas and/or Gordon Warner redshirting if they are not used on kick returns and as slot receivers. Gordon Warner is a state ranked sprinter and one of the favorites in the state 400 meters this year. He can really fly.Anyone else in the MAC have 5 running backs on their roster that were rated three stars when being recruited? Our problem is going to be the quarterback position again. If Clint Cochran can't stay healthy again we may see Travaris Cadet have his redshirt taken off and that probably isn't a good thing since our playbook is pretty complicated and takes time to learn.
