exexec
I sure hope the marketing does a big romotion for the BG game. It will be last home game for Dru and Romeo. They should really promote it and fill up the JAR.
Guzijeff
Speaking of promos....The best promo ever was back in the 89-90 season. It was sponsored by Taco Bell and was known as 'Defense 65', or, as the students called it, 'Taco D'...If the Zips held an opponent under 65 points, everyone in attendance received free tacos from Taco Bell. I still have a cup from that promotion somewhere. As the game wound down, if it looked like it might be close, the students started chanting 'Tacos, Tacos, Tacos.....'..... RowdyZip
Not a promo...but I just saw an advetisement on time warner (comedy central) for the game. They're pushing senior night and the final appearance of "hometown heroes" dru joyce and romeo travis. Let's hope this works. Maybe some beacon ads this week? skip-zip
Wow. That brings back memories. I was a student in the 80's, and remember it the same way. Everyone chanting "tacos, tacos, tacos". Then if they did hold the opponent under 65 points, they handed out the free taco vouchers at the bottom of the strairs on the way out. FearTheRoo
Might be a good way to keep a few more asses in the seat until the final tick on the clock.
