Z-P Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 Here is mine.............the neatest thing about what KD has going this year is the way he can quickly and effectively change the teams "identity" by juggling the lineup.Example.............he comes out conventional with his starting lineup, goes thru his sub rotation until he starts to sniff trouble, then BOOM...............brand new look on the floor with "18 feet of guards" and a high post. The ability to shake up the floor like this is something I'm really enjoying!A close second is the slow but steady development of the guys off the bench (I mean 6 thru 9).............What do you like? blueandgold Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 I agree with what you mentioned Z-P. I like that we can change constantly throughout the game depending on what is happening. Our great depth allows us to do this pretty easily compared to other teams. I also like tha fact that we can play with anyone in the paint and can hit three's with the best of them. My concern is free throws. We seem to be doing better lately, but I am afraid that this is the area that will eventually end our season. Quote

Free throws are critical to defeating the top teams in the MAC Tourney. And, of course, Quote
zipboy Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 Everyone seems accepting of their role and someone always seems to step up if someone has a bad game. I also like that this team comes to play everyday. They remind a little of the Can't team that went to the final 8 in terms of not giving a game to anyone. And I like that we keep winning. This winning thing is starting to become addictive. Quote
skip-zip Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 Z-P...I know what you are saying. But, it's a coaches JOB to adjust during the course of a game. However, I'm really beginning to think that KD analyzes and makes adjustments better than most. The only option he doesn't have? He really can't go BIG. I'm hoping he finds that option in his recruiting over the next couple of years. What I like about this team? Ever since Bubba left, EVERY player on this team has a willingness to do the dirty work. They all dive on the floor for loose balls, and all work together defensively. This is certainly a reflection of the coach. When I am at games, I find myself cheering the defensive hustle more than the dunks. Who do I think most epitomizes this attitude?....Nick Dials. I really believe that he is the emotional leader of this team. Quote
Apollo Creed Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 I think this team's best asset, at least in the MAC, is their athleticism on the defensive end of the floor. When they decide to buckle down and defend the rim, they are very tough to score on. Especially with long, athletic shotblockers in the paint like Quade Milum and Romeo Travis. The way they play defense is also important because they block shots and force turnovers that lead to fast breaks and easy points the other way. Quote
zippyrifle32 Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 i was talking to cedrick one day, telling him how much i loved watching him play. i asked him about starting versus coming off the bench, and he just said that he does whatever coach needs him to do. it's that type of attitude i love to see with this team. it seems that each person really buys into the team concept and accepts their role even if it doesn't seem to add to their personal glory. could ced start? heck yes he could, but it's also great that we have that spark coming off the bench. that's what i like about this team. zipseuph Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 I like the fact that we can change momentum big time with just one quade dunk! it's not something that makes a huge dif in the score but anytime the crowed sees an alyoop to quade they just can't help to get back into the game no matter the scoreoh and I almost forgot Quote
