ZippyRulz
Where will they go? Would their soccer be permitted to remain in the A10 since MAC men's soccer is defunct? Their women's team appears to be pretty good.. Edited February 29 by ZippyRulz

Their women's team appears to be pretty good. I saw online that they're going to petition (is that the right word) the A-10 to remain an affiliate member for men's lacrosse. Maybe they'll be doing the same for men's soccer?
Steve1981
Waiting to see if the MAC brings it back. Realize you guys are happy with the Big East affiliation. Quote UPDATE 10:35am 2/28/24 - New info this morning on the above Olympic sports. From what we've been told, UMass' current plans are to apply to the A10 to keep men's lacrosse and women's rowing in the conference as affiliate members. If the conference does not accept those applications, they would look for other affiliate options. With men's soccer they are in fact looking to see if the MAC wants to restart their league, and if not they would look for an affiliate spot somewhere else. Women's lacrosse would play in the MAC. With baseball, the plan (as of now) is to move it to the MAC as well.
ZippyRulz
I doubt the MAC wants to repeat the soccer headache. If UMass can't remain in the A10 I'd guess they look to join a northeastern league.
