scottditzen
Did anybody see the gold/yellow shirts that had BOTH the Zips and flushes logos on the front?
Dr Z
I saw one. They were pretty crappy. That crap yellow if I remember right.I would think no Zips fan would want one. Looked like a high school screen print project.
Bleacher Bum
I thought it was pretty sweet. They were only $6 too. I was gonna get one but they were sold out of XLs. It didn't say anything pro Can't or pro Akron, just the rivalry. I dug it. The only thing I didn't like was the pee-yellow color.
Valpo Zip
All i have to say is that I hope our athletic department will never make/sell a shirt with a can't state logo on it.

FearTheRoo
The thing I find interesting is that Can't State would have to of had the blessing from the UofA to use the licensed logo. Apparently they allowed it. But they are so stingy with other merchandise in the stores? I have spoken with many shop owners around the area that carry college gear. Several have told me that UA is not very easy to work with at all when it comes to licensing.
Agent Zero
This is true, although, you don't *have* to have permission per say (U of A may not have known about it), considering one of the apartment complexes in Can't (the Can't Village apartments I think?) had them printed. I don't want it to be as common as the cheap OSU crap you see even in Discount Drug Mart. But I would loveto just be able to walk into your typical sports store and buy some Roo gear. Having the mysteriousZips store in the JAR open sporadically is the dumbest marketing move ever.p.s. I don't mind the shirt having the dreaded Can't logo on it, I wouldn't wear it personally. Though I would buy it for someone if some money went toward Zips athletics. I just think it's cool to build up the rivalry and get as much mileage out of it as possible. Man you definately feel my pain...I have resorted to only shopping online for "quality zips gear" cause nothing burns my ass more than when I drive 2 hours north, go to the jar and the damn store isn't open, for no good reason. The closest store that I know of that sells nice Zips gear is Kohls on Arlington road near I-77. That's where I get most of my "unofficial" Zips stuff. huskerbryan
FYI-The store in the JAR is not open "sporadically", it's open on a regular basis. Hours are Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Their phone number is 972-8673. And, from what I've been told, licensing is not a problem. Those t-shirts from the Can't game were taken off the shelves after the licensing company was approached by UA. Can't illegally used UA's trademark and owes royalty fees! I've seen Zips merchandise at Lids, Kohl's, Finish Line, and Champs. It's an uphill battle with OSU in our backyard. Royalty revenue is up. I understand it doesn't seem like it. That's where I get most of my "unofficial" Zips stuff. The week of the MAC Tourney, my parents and brother were there buying stuff. They also took the liberty to hide/cover up as much Can't stuff as they could.
