Quickzips Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 Surprised noone is talking about this one yet. This is for our matchup tomorow.Central handled the Bulls all game long. 57-34.Watson put up a big performance. Quote
ZachTheZip Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 Is that the final score?Central gave us a tough time at home. I think we won 77-71. I was really hoping for Buffalo to win this one. CMU won't be an easy win. Quote
timmyboy Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 But if the Zips play to their full potential...noone in the MAC can beat them! so hopefulyl for the next 4 days they are at their best! Id love to see the 2 who started the programs turn around ( dru an romeo) get that MAC title an an ncaa bid! Quote
akronad Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 CMU is up 71-57 w/about 3 minutes to go. Quote
BirdZip Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 Buffalo needs to get it close and keep it there so CM has to tire out their starters. Quote
originalrowdy Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 Bench points are going to be a major contributor to tomorrow's Zips victory as well. I was not impressed with the depth, or lack thereof, of the Chippewas. Big games from 6th man of the year, Fear the Fro Ced, and Mcnight and Conyers are a must for another shot at playing the flushes. Quote
GoZips88 Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 I think Buffalo helped us out big time by climbing back into this game. Down by 30 with about 13 minutes to go, they turned it into a game and forced CMU to continue to play hard all the way to the end. I agree that Akron should be able to do better than they did earlier this year against CMU and I don't know that I would expect CMU to repeat a 58% shooting performance. Akron 72 CMU 58 Quote
Valpo Zip Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 I think that the starters need to build an early comfortable lead so that KD can dig deep in his rotation to keep everybody fresh for the whole 3 days.It is also important for the bench guys to contribute and hold on to the (supposed) lead when given the chance. Quote
sgm405 Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 I agree on the importance of holding the lead...that was a problem last time against CMU Quote
RowdyZip Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 Zips open as 13 POINT FAVORITES. Tomorrow should be an interesting game...good thing i'll be sitting in CBA taking two different tests on one night...c'mon guys, make sure to send a message with this one, and i'll see everyone at the Q friday! Quote
ZachTheZip Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 I'll see you all tomorrow at the game! Go Zips! Quote
Agent Zero Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 If the Zips don't stop Watson, it's going to be a LONG night. Seriously. At one point during the game, Watson had more points total, than Buffalo's entire team! Quote
Bleacher Bum Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 If the Zips don't stop Watson, it's going to be a LONG night. Seriously. At one point during the game, Watson had more points total, than Buffalo's entire team! It could be a long day no matter what. I think the combined free throws between each team was about 82! I hate MAC refs! Quote
coachk Posted March 8, 2007 Report Posted March 8, 2007 GO ZIPS!!!!! See you at the game tonight Quote
