RB3 Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 I heard former Northeast Ohio Football superstar Ryan Brinson will be playing for the Zips this year... For those of you who don't know Ryan was the Division I player of the year in football in 2005, if not for Mr. Tyrell Sutton he would have been Mr. Ohio. Ryan put up some amazing numbers while at State Powerhouse Canton McKinley High School, during the process he set records and dazzled fans each week. Not only that but he did it agianst the best teams Ohio High School has to offer. Any word of where we might see Ryan playing next season? Quote
zff Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 I heard he would be playing CB. The Zips are staked at RB barring any injuries. I think he was going to play CB at WVU. He was being compared to PACMAN. But only for on the filed activity not off the field. Quote
Blue & Gold Posted March 21, 2007 Report Posted March 21, 2007 I've heard CB as well. They're afraid he may be a bit undersized to play RB at the D-1 level. But he's a perfect CB! Amazing athlete! Quote
74ZIP Posted March 22, 2007 Report Posted March 22, 2007 let me check with my McKinley source and see if this is true... Quote
timmyboy Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 thsi guy is such a talent, he could play in the offensive or defensive backfield. Heck he may he able to move up to linebacker and play the same roll that mackey does. Quote
gozips19 Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 Brinson is 5'7.... he's a corner and potentially a damn good one! lets leave it at that. Quote
timmyboy Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 Brinson is 5'7.... he's a corner and potentially a damn good one! lets leave it at that. Yes he will make a damn good CB, but he would also make a damn good RB. He has proved that in HS. He played D1 at one of the toughest schools in Ohio, and played against some of the toughest teams and still was a standout and the D1 POY, and would have been MR Ohio Football had it not be for another good football, by the name of tyrell sutton.
