rln
Future Zip Da'Von Moore (5'11'' and 205 lbs) ran a stellar 10.70 in the 100 meters at the recent WIAPL Track Championship. His time 10.7 would have given him a third place at the MAC Championships. Local track experts predict that Da'Von will improve his 100 m time to the 10.5 - 10.6 range at the upcoming state meet. Blue & Gold
I believe we recruited Da'Von as a cornerback, and with speed like that, I can see why! But with size like that, do you think JD should give him a shot at RB?
akronad
Not really, the Zips are loaded at the RB position. Let's leave him as a corner, I think he will very good there.
timmyboy
i agree. lets leave him at corner. But im curious if he will try out for the Akron Zips track team?
gozips19
on a side note i saw Royal has one of the top 200m times in the state this year as well. speed kills baby!
skip-zip
I like the idea of having some of your fastest guys playing corner. This can completely change the way you play defense. If you have guys on the corners that can keep up with any WR, they need less safety help. This is the kind of situation that can really give you a top notch defense. Buckzip
With speed like that at 205lbs maybe safety is his best position. Or if he could add another 15lbs, maybe linebacker. Our corners have decent speed now. We need speed at the other positions too.
Blue & Gold
If our corners can play man-to-man, then that would free up our safeties to come up and assist our pathetic DL!
ZipsFan52
i was at the meet and i believe davon's best time was a 10.4 not a 10.
