Watching your team get beat two weeks in a row :nutkick:

doesn't make for a real "pumped" Akron fan right now.

Now we have to play another top team where we don't stand a chance.

Nobody even thinks we will win with the spread which is now at 31 (started at 29)

Our team sucks. What else would you like to talk about?

Maybe we can schedule Howard again so we can win by 60 points, and the players will think they deserve to get a free education.

This team is a disgrace.

31 is a ridiculous spread anytime you're playing a passing team. If you playing a team that can throw the ball downfield, they can score points, and quickly. So no lead is safe. And we haven't shown the ability to shut down a good passing game yet, so I don't see how Vegas expects this to be a 42-10 game or something like that.

I don't doubt the fact that we will be able to pass. Frye has been able to pass

against ANY defense. I watched Schwab and Frye go at last time we played and

Frye looked like the better QB to me. Now they can't quit saying good things about

Schwab in Atlanta. I watched Frye go against many NFL QB's, he has looked better

than them all. No doubt Frye will get his.

What I do doubt is this team's ability to score. It seems like the change of systems

(from coaching change) has taken a pretty big toll right now. We are making silly

mistakes when getting ready to score. I do think this will stop within time, hopefully

sooner than later.

Our D, is over pursuing like crazy, if you have anybody that can cut back, you got 6.

I also hope to see this change this week.

Our special teams have been anything but spectacular. I think I watched a block punt

happen 30 yards in front of me sitting on the hill the last time we played. I see that again.

I hope I'm wrong about that.

I hope to see a close game, but a 42-10 score is VERY likely until this team shows me something.

I thought maybe Penn State was just that good, but then they get beat by BC. I think Virginia

is better than PSU so I don't hold out a lot of hope.

Good luck, make sure you tie your tie on real good at the game so Ivan doesn't blow it away.

Schaub...not schwab....but thats ok.....Well as far as the cut backs go, we have 3 backs that are about all on the same talent level and all cut back very well....Lundy, the starter, is probably the slowest of the 3 but is more versatile than any of them and probably has the best cut back ability....Pearman who will come in second is a little faster and probably has the best vision of the 3 and is also very versatile....then Michael Johnson..He is the fastest of the bunch and if he gets a lane, he's gone...he is more of just a raw speed guy, who i think has the biggest potential b/c this is only his second season b/c he redshirted last year, and got hurt in his first year....so will be his first real season...He will be something to watch....look for #2....

Only thing about the zips I have heard about is how they can pass...and the weather is calling for a lot of rain and some wind, so I think that kind of hurts that a little...which dissapoints me, b/c I would like to see what our secondary could do against the qb...b/c they are our weakest link and really need to improve for us to be as good as we can be.

Special teams, this is probably the best we have seen yet...we have a former running back in marquis weeks and he ran back 100 yard kick off return last week..He is big, strong and fast...Then beside him we have our LB Ahmad Brooks, who is 6'4 240lbs and is one of the fastest guys on the team...he has only gotten one return, but it went for 40 yards...Then on punt returns, we have Pearman, who ran back a punt back in week one for a td then ran back a kick off last week 93 yards b/c UNC squibbed it and it went to him.....

Our qb hasnt been tested yet, but is a great athlete...so dont know how he will do this year yet....but anyways, ill stop rambling, and i hope its a good clean game, w/no injuries
