Zips Win! Posted July 6, 2007 Report Posted July 6, 2007 I read in the C-bus Dispatch that our own Chris McKinght from Lancaster (unfortunately they did not give the Zips any love as we were not mentioned) has been the leader for Team Ohio in the Bari International under-19 basketball tournament in Carovigno, Italy.Thorugh the first four games Chris has been a solid double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds in a 105-75 win over Cisternino, Italy; 23 and 11 in a 112-66 win over Teramo, Italy; 15 and 10 in a 71-62 won over Lithuania; 25 and 20 in a 109-85 win over Canada. Team Ohio is supossed to Russia in the finals. Kudos to Chris. In an unrelated note, the CD also mentioned that Tyler Campbell of Pickerington North has signed to play football with the Zips. Can anyone confirm? Quote

gozips19 Posted July 6, 2007 Report Posted July 6, 2007 I couldn't find much on Tyler. It appears that he was all league twice and is a DB. here's a link from a miami site click me since he's a 07 recruit i am assuming that he's walking on or is a preferred walk on. seems to have some speed though. With his size and speed he would make a decent D2 or D3 college player.....but i could be wrong. Quote
Zip Watcher Posted July 6, 2007 Report Posted July 6, 2007 21 points and 11 rebounds in a 105-75 win over Cisternino, Italy; 23 and 11 in a 112-66 win over Teramo, Italy; 15 and 10 in a 71-62 won over Lithuania; 25 and 20 in a 109-85 win over Canada.   Those are big numbers. Has anyone had any luck finding box scores or even a roster for the Ohio team to know what caliber of player CM's playing with / against?I spent a little bit of googling hoping to find a tournament site, but no luck so far.
