Toledo Arena Renovations

Toledo will begin a $30 million renovation of Savage Hall after the upcoming basketball season and the building will be ready for the 2008-09 season. This will be a total renovation of the building including more than 20 suites and loges, a hall of fame and pro shop. An indoor turf practice facility will be attached to the arena and will open in 2009.

That looks great! The MAC needs more facilities of this caliber. OU's got a great arena and EMU also has a great facility. The JAR sucks.

Would agree - looks great. The all-blue seats sure look better than the multi-color ones in Savage right now. I hope they ditch the ugly tan/brown crap on the walls when they re-do everything.I was driving through Firestone Park the other day and noticed LOTS of signs in yards by companies who are repairing roof/siding damage from the recent hail storm. ANY chance an adjuster would look at the JAR, declare it a piece of crap, and sign over a check to have it completely redone?!?

I will ask my uncle, who owns a roofing company who is insured for hail repair ha ha. it would be nice if akron came into a large donation to have the JAR renovated ( or a new one built). Id like to have the old track taken out on the sides and seats taken all the way up. I seen this in another arena ( cant remember which one) and it didnt look bad. I know it wouldnt add a ton more seats, but it would add a few more to create a louder enviorment for the other schools.
