scottditzen
Akron Could Be Dangerous OSU Opponenthttp://www.bucknuts.com/news/story.php?article=1630Also here is a cool excerpt:* Tressel named OSU speed coordinator and Olympic track gold medalist Butch Reynolds as the honorary captain for this week’s game. Reynolds, an Akron native, earned Olympic gold (1600-meter relay) and silver (400-meter dash) in track. Reynolds is a 1991 OSU graduate. He was a track All-American at OSU and performed in three Olympic games for the U.S. “Butch is a guy that has great passion for Ohio State and he's from Akron and that's a special thing to him that we're playing Akron,” Tressel said. “He works intimately with these guys and he's one of the greatest athletes in the history of Ohio State. That honor for him is special and I think our kids will respond to that because they have a lot of compassion for him and appreciate his hard work, so I think it will be a fun thing.”
Dr Z
nice find.I hope the secondary hangs this on their locker. Akron probably can’t do all that much to make life miserable for Boeckman.
zip81
What are the people at Hoban thinking now?Do we have a "speed coordinator?"
Big Zip
Butch wanted to work at Akron for years and nobody would hire him -- speed coordinator track coach anything.

Ryno aka Menace
“Dennis is our go-to guy,” Brookhart said. “Last year, he was banged up. You can tell now that he’s healthy. He plays physical and he is somebody we’re going to keep handing the ball to. He’s a fairly good sized back. He has speed and he can make people miss. He’s a fairly complete player. We’re lucky to have him.”Maybe i missed it but I haven't seen Dennis make anyone miss? Granted I am glad we have him but..????
RACER
all the guys on bucknuts as usual predict we will get blown out.hopefully osu players are thinking the same thing.i do give the admin a big plus for sheduling arm before this game.while i know army is not osu,but i feel alott better about playing osu now.i not saying we will win but no reason we cannot compete with these guys.if this would have been our first game i think it would be ugly.
