What surprises me is this....This is an AKRON paper, in The U of A's backyard, the day before a matchup that only comes along for us once in a great while.And what's in the Beacon Journal sports section today??An article about Ohio State, and a section entitled "Ohio State: 5 Things To Watch".Nothing about Zips Football.Unbelievable.

I agree, he was a horrible movie critic. However, he was better at that than he is at the sports section.

Last Sat morning on WNIR French blasted Thomas for saying that App State would be a blowout. French said, "That team is good, they will give Michigan trouble. I am not saying they will win, but they make a game of it." Then he added, "I could flap my butt cheeks together and make more sense than George Thomas." Please don't visualize.F George Thomas.

Key points to discuss:Business section is awful. I get the Wall Street Journal for my national business news and was forced to switch to The Plain Dealer for local business news.Sports section is bad. George Thomas is an OSU grad I would have expected nothing less from him or the ABJ. It's kind of funny the way they say sports writers (not sports story writers) are supposed to be unbiased yet you get drivel like this. Although it appears he's the ABJ's OSU beat writer. What would it cost to give Akron the same coverage as OSU -- I'm sure it wouldn't cost too much.
