I don't think they'd mind a punching bag if they can make some money off them. When are we going to turn the corner as a program? The stadium has to help, but it's two years away.

Agreed. I was glad to see what appeared to be some progress in the first half. I still don't know what to think about this team. I really thought we would have given UCONN a run. If you told me Akron would be down 44-10 early in the 4th, would I have laughed you out of the building. Hopefully this is a modivating loss and not the other way around.

The 2nd half was HORRIBLE. They came out like a different team. JD must have said something to unmotivate the team.

Well, we're all well aware of the bad news, the good news is that we're still undefeated in the MAC. Time to focus on league play.

Next week we play @ WMU. It's a must-win, at least to me, to salvage the season and become bowl eligible. Every game should be played with a huge sense of urgency, but I don't sense the will to win coming from our offense except for Jabari.

For those with my many years of history with this football program, you would know that we never play well AT Western Michigan. It's hard to put must-win status on a game in a place where we play horribly, and is out of our division. Assuming that we can win our homes games, I believe that our most critical games to get bowl eligible will be the road game at Buffalo, and the road at Miami, considering that BG might be the front runner to win our division.

So are we already making excuses for losing a game that is a week away? Literally is it a must win game for the MAC Championship....well, maybe it is. If we didn't beat Central in 2005, then we wouldn't have made it to Detroit. BTW, we have a wonderfully schedule again this year. Why do we ALWAYS get bent over in the scheduling dept!
