bigzipguy
If people look at the schedule of Mac East teams and the current standings, I believe unfortunately thatMiami is set up nicely to win it.
GP1
If people look at the schedule of Mac East teams and the current standings, I believe unfortunately thatMiami is set up nicely to win it.They really are. Even if we had won last week, they were still in the drivers seat. Even worse, they seem to be getting better each week. Maybe they are catching on to what Montgomery wants to do. Miami might be good enough at the end of the year to win the MACC.
bigzipguy
The game to watch this week in the Mac East is : Miami at Temple. If Miami wins, they are in good shape. But if Temple wins,(they already have 2 Mac East losses) then the East is definitely up for grabs, even for Can't and Ohio.
skip-zip
Miami has already beaten Bowling Green, Can't on the road, and has Akron at home. I'd say that's a pretty good position to be in right now. A win at Buffalo would definitely keep is right in the race though.
akronad
We ahve a long, hard road ahead of us.We play 3 of our 4 MAC East games on the road, plus we have only 5 days between BG(11/2) & OU (11/7).BAsically, I think we need to run the table in the EAst, and that is going to be very tough. We are going to need help from other teams as well.
bigzipguy
Yes, the Zips will have to run the table in the East. Are the Zip players looking at the schedule and thinking about the task ahead of them or is the coaching staff helping them to focus on not just one game at a time, but ONE PLAY AT A TIME!!!! skip-zip
Akronad...good point. In your division, you only have 3 homes games, and 3 road games. We've already lost a home game, which now makes it really tough. And 2 of those upcoming road games are Miami and BG. It's not looking good right now, but hopefully we will keep battling. johnnyzip84
We are going to need help from other teams as well.Granted, it's a long shot that the Zips could run the table. If they somehow manage this however, they would NOT need any help (to win the East), because they would own tie-breakers (head to head) over Miami, BG, and Buffalo, as well as any tie-breaker that might exist in a three-way tie with any of these schools. I'll admit, this is probably a moot point however.
PAZipsFan
As frightening and strange as it seems, Buffalo is looking really good this year, as well. I wouldn't discount the possibility of the Bulls winning the East Division. What were the odds of that before the season started?!
RACER
we need to beat buffalo, and hope temple can somehow beat miami next week.you never know.i am sure templeis playing with alott of confidence.asking them to win three mac games in a row may be to much though.if they can then everybodys back in the race.
