The Roo Town banner is 12,500 square feet and visible from more than two miles away. Made of a polymer mesh and weighing in at a whopping three quarters of a ton, the sign is secured to the building’s support beams with stainless steel brackets and aircraft cabling. Repros Inc. of Cleveland said the banner is the largest it has made and one of the most complex, requiring two days for a com! plete installation. Thanks to special UV-resistant inks, however, the banner will last for several years.That's pretty impressive ! Quote
ziptrumpet87 Posted October 19, 2007 Report Posted October 19, 2007 I saw it while driving around campus before alumni band. Hard to see from most normal traffic routes though. Hope the wind doesn't grab it; it sounds like it could be dangerous if it did. Good thing we don't have a red logo... blue is much better at resisting UV fading. Quote
