zip81
Channel 5 dumps out of the Miami/Temple game with about :44 left.Granted, the game was out of reach for Miami, but they were driving on Temple, and who knows what could have happened. There's no need to dump out of the Miami game with only 44 seconds to go, just to see 3 minutes of commercials and Ohio State running out of the tunnel. The game would have been over by then.Once again, Channel 5 craps on the MAC.Do us a favor Channel 5, just don't televise any more games unless you plan to carry THE ENTIRE game. ZachTheZip
I'm not sure that it was Channel 5's decision this time. The game was cut off for the last minute to show tha OSU pregame in Toledo and Detroit. Not in Colombus, though. Interesting.

Interesting.Well in Dayton the RedHawk/Owl game was carried by TWO stations both of which showed the entire game including three onside kicks recovered by Miami in the last minute and a half of the game. KNCLZip
When I first saw the ad on channel 5 for that game, I said to myself, "they'll never show the whole thing." Darned if I wasn't right.I can almost understand (but still not excuse) cutting away to the OSU game. (It's even less tolerable when a team from the viewing area--us or [gasp] Can't--is playing in the game they leave in progress.) But cutting away to show a few minutes of commercials first is even worse. I wonder if in a parallel universe WKYC might pre-empt NBC's ND games to show MAC games. They'd get a better game and better ratings. ;)Didn't WOIO and WUAB used to carry ESPN+ games (primarily Big Ten ones before the BTN came along)? Maybe one of those channels would be better....there wouldn't be the conflict with OSU all the time since CBS doesn't show Big Ten games......
