Another one bites the dust ... Zippy is now a perfect 7 - 0. Way to go everyone. I think we finally got some help (respect) from the others this week. Here's my take on how we vote in Week 8. As always, chime in if any of you see it differently ...BIG RED (3-4) over Monte (3-4)Both are 3-4 but Big Red trails by about 3400 votes overall. Monte is also a previous overall winner.JOE BRUIN (4-3) over Goldy Gopher (3-4)Joe Bruin actually has a better record BUT UCLA is a smaller school (38000 vs. 50400 at UM; UM is #4 in the country in enrollment) and it may be time to start shaping who we want to go up against in the playoffs. Send Goldy into the tank so he misses the Top 6 cutoff?SEYMOUR (2-5) over Hokiebird (3-4)Poorer record and also behind the bird by about 3500 votes overall. Hokiebird "played" us tough earlier and is probably another mascot that we don't want to face in the playoffs.CAVMAN (4-3) over Cocky (3-4)Another chance to knock a former winner out of the Top 6. SC's total enrollment is also about double (39000) that of Virginia's (20000). Cavman also trails Cocky by about 2400 votes overall.ZIPPY (7-0) over Cosmo (4-3)Go Zippy!OTTO (3-4) over Hairy Dawg (3-4)Both 3-4 but University of Georgia enrollment is double (33000) that of Syracuse (16000). Syracuse fans are also VERY apathetic right now regarding their football program and their mascot is just a big orange blob. Give me Otto in the playoffs over Hairy Dawg.

Good to have a cheatsheet. One comment, about the above quoted, even though UCLA may have less enrollment than UM, I wonder if in the playoffs whether the size of the media market will make a difference. It's just a thought, but if UCLA Bruin gets some stories in their media, he could be dangrous

Anyone ever notice that despite the fact that you have to vote for every mascot matchup every time you vote, it is rare when all of the matchups add up to the same number? Most of the time it is only 4 of the 6 that add up the same. Just a curiousity.
