KD remarked that right now the rotation is at eleven. He further commented on trying to reduce that to nine. Where is the shiver? There ain't no shiver. The starting five today is J Wood, C McKnight, N Linhart, N Dials and C Middleton. Nice line up.Their supporting cast is: Mike Bardo, a true center and currently in development. At times his presence is needed on the floor. Plus, he needs to get more not less minutes as he will be really needed in conference and post season play.Quade Milum, a power forward in a small forward's body. But, he has the grit and heart of a power forward. He has to continue to play. He is a fixture in the rotation.Steve McNees, a combo guard who plays like he is jet propelled. Steve capitalizes on every minute he is on the floor. Would love to get that fire and energy from the rest of the players. His skill set is rapidly improving. Steve thinks he is Magic Johnson. That is a good thing.Jimmy Conyers, a versatile small forward/shooting guard. Jim can rest Linhart or drop down and play the two guard.Darryl Roberts, the heir apparent at the point. Like most guards, Darryl can play either guard. He is all upside. He is destined to be the starting point guard early in conference play. This frees Middleton to both be that great "sixth" man and to heal. Also, Dials can get healthy by playing less minutes.Brett McKnight fixes all the problems at the three spot. And, he can bang, penetrate, lead and all round motivate the team. How many of you watched as he coached Mike Bardo after Bardo got jammed in the paint resulting in a missed dunk and a trip to the free throw line? Brett showed me more there than his two awesome treys. There is no shiver. They all stay in the rotation. One of the coaches or assistants needs to be a clock watcher to control minutes allocation. Dials needs to get aboutthirty as does J Wood. The other starters 20-25 minutes.Your thoughts? And, where am I wrong?

the heir apparent at the point has yet to play and may not this year. Ronnie is a pure point were Robert's is a Ced clone. I agree with a lot of your post. I feel that all eleven will play through out the year but only 9 will play during the game. the nine will change depending on match ups and who's hot or cold during the games and or practice. :screwks:

this has to be the most depth the zips have had.if roberts can igve them 10-15 min a game and not make mistakes then this team is solid eveywhere.i think we saw last year playing miami where wood was gassed at the end of the game.i think kd really needs to watch his min.i know we need him on the floor but we dont need him out there tired.

I don't know how many players are enough, but I do know it takes the best five to win the game. IMHO, KD should do what Coles does at Miami. Coles plays a lot of players the first 30 minutes in order to find his best five man rotation for that game. The last ten minutes, only those five play and he wins or loses with them. It's such a simple strategy, I can't believe everyone doesn't do it.
