zipdiehard
After a tough tussle with Ohio, it's time to get a new thread started for the Zips next big MAC game. If anyone is really familiar with BG, please fill in some details. I'm not sure what to expect as they seem to be somewhat up and down with a nice wins over Ohio and Buffalo. Going by how the Zips normally respond at the JAR, I am guessing something like 74-60 Zips.
ZachTheZip
This is not the BG of the past few years. They are tougher, and are very confident, being 2-1 in the East. They played a better game against OU than we did. All I know is that if we sleep on them or come out too overconfident like we usually do at home, we could very well lose. GoZips88
Yeah, I was sorry to see Dakich go. He was fun to watch/heckle and we did pretty well against him in recent years. Sounds like Orr is starting to turn that ship around. Sure hope the Zips clear their heads of the OU game and can get focused for BG. Glad Tillman and Williams have left town - we didn't match up too well inside against them. I'm interested in hearing what others may know about BG - I know next-to-nothing about their current make-up.
Zips fan
It looks like BG splits their minutes between seven players. They have been outrebounded slightly at this point in the season 35.4-34.7 and they don't have anyone that stands out. They look like they score and rebound by committee. I hope the Zips don't overlook this team and continue to play at the Zips level.
bUAkronG
Sounds like a walloping right now. I'm home so I'm listening on sportsradio1350.com and it's 39-14 right now. Only have been listening to it for about 10 minutes but sounds like we're getting nothing call-wise in our favor.BG 10 turnovers to our 2 with about 3 minutes left in the first. Also heard him say something about only 2 of our players who've seen minutes today haven't scored. Seems like a good team effort.Boy, 41-14 now. When I started typing it was 37-14.
bUAkronG
Well looks like we're headed into halftime with a 26 point lead 45-19. So much for us looking past BG for Can't on Wednesday. I know it's possible for them to come back but I believe this one's all but over.Apparently attendance is good considering the cold, football, and long weekend. I would be there if I hadn't come home!
ZachTheZip
This is such a blowout that Dambrot put in B. McKnight and D. Robberts in 6 minutes into the game. The result has been an incredible game so far, played mostly by the bench. This is just the experience and confidence boost our younger and underdeveloped players need before heading to Can't. MDZip
And for those of you who were wondering where Quade Milum went (probably including Quade) - WOW.
GoZips88
Starters scored something like 26 of tonights 80 points. Would love to see this same kind of effort Wednesday night in Can't.
