skip-zip Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Nothing like a little help from your friends....Much like I thought we had bad luck by getting Western Michigan on the road, while Can't State got them at home...it looks like playing Toledo at home while Can't played them on the road was a little bit of good luck in our favor....for a change. This makes our road game at Western Michigan HUGE !!!!!!!!! If we can pull off that win, we can once again put ourselves in position to have the Can't home game in March decide the MAC East title. Thank You Rockets. Quote

GoZips Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Holy Toledo (Rockets), Batman ... !!!!The Toledo Rockets successfully defended their home floor with a stunning 59-56 upset of Cant State.A beautiful full court outlet pass to the basket followed by a shattering two handed dunk with 00:00.1on the clock gives the Rockets a victory celebrated as much in Akron as in Toledo.Stan Joplin (Toledo's coach) for President. They may want to fire him after Toledo's humblingloss at Akron last Wednesday, but, we sure do not. Go Stan, go.This will shake the RPIs up a bit.Hambone is not dancing tonight.Oh, and Chris (hic) Singletary played for the Cant Staters. A lot of class Mr. Christian has.Singletary has been re-instated pending his trial which has been scheduled for June. he he Quote
RowdyZip Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Oh, and Chris (hic) Singletary played for the Cant Staters. A lot of class Mr. Christian has.Singletary has been re-instated pending his trial which has been scheduled for June. he heYep. He missed all of one game. If that doesn't scream high-class, I don't know what does. It's sure nice of Can't to not only allow him to keep his scholarship after yet another faux pas, but also to really buckle down and give him a suspension. That Jim Christian, man is he a ball-buster! Quote
Valpo Zip Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 There goes any chance of the MAC getting an at large bid.I was thinking that if Can't keeps rolling and then loose the MAC championship game, they should get an at large.Today's game has changed a lot of things around. Quote
skip-zip Posted February 3, 2008 Author Report Posted February 3, 2008 I don't know if Can't was going to get an at-large, but they were certainly putting themselves in pretty good position for consideration. I think they had a #37 RPI going into this game. Quote
