timmyboy Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 Akron Firestone RB Ross Davis has decided to join the zips as a preferred walk on. The kid is good. has size, speed and is very shifty. i seen him play 4 times this year against Ellet, Garfield and twice against tallmadge. he is a terror. after getting him into a college strength program and having him redshirt a year he could see himelf getting some serious PT. i looked on both scout and rivals and they have nothing on him, wouldnt be the first time a good player slipped thru the cracks an landed here. Blue & Gold Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 That's not the Firestone RB who was getting all the hype this year (I forget his name). Was this guy the other RB's backup? What was Firestone's other RB's name? Quote

Blue & Gold Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 Great then! I saw the Firestone-Garfield game and I thought this guy looked better than Garfield's Larry Dawson. (Though I wouldn't tell Larry that to his face!) Quote

(Though I wouldn't tell Larry that to his face!)dawson went to north. but garfield has a very good sophomore RB who will be highly rated come his senior year Quote
Blue & Gold Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 Ah, you're right. My brain's fried from worrying about taxes today. That's the game I saw: Firestone - North. Quote
ziplock Posted April 17, 2008 Report Posted April 17, 2008 I will second, third or fourth that emotion!I saw him in the Firestone-Revere game. He has great cutting ability, good open field smarts and is quick, quick, quick. He will be a nice addition and someone who can impact a game. He also had the benefit of being coached in HS by Tim Flossie who has developed some excellent players in his tenure at several local programs. Quote
Blue & Gold Posted April 17, 2008 Report Posted April 17, 2008 The RB from Firestone I was trying to think of a few days ago is named Darshawn Thomas. Wasn't Darshawn 'Stone's starting RB last year? Quote
