K-Roo Posted May 23, 2008 Report Posted May 23, 2008 Renewed my tickets for 2008 and bought the Founders Package for 2009... while discussing the details, the person taking my order informs me that UA will have a special day where I can go into Infocision and pick out my seats!!Cule!!! Quote
Zipsrifle Posted May 23, 2008 Report Posted May 23, 2008 How does the "family package" thing work, as this will be my first year getting that. Is it closer to a General Admission type setup or a reserved setup? I think I saw in my season ticket renewal that we would be in the NW corner of the stadium in the upper deck. It would be nice if we could pick out our tickets and get some type of reserved seat setup so that we can make sure were in a good location. I think in the RB it is a GA type setup, but what about at ICS? Quote

Zipsrifle Posted May 24, 2008 Report Posted May 24, 2008 Well, It'll probably only matter for the first few games when the attendance is high, then we can sit anywhere. Quote

K-Roo Posted May 28, 2008 Author Report Posted May 28, 2008 More to consider:http://www.footballstadiumdigest.com/news/...?article_id=129Price to watch Gopher football skyrocketing 05/24/2008 7:56 AMIt's an age-old story. The local college gets a new facility -- in this case, the University of Minnesota taking their football games to TCF Bank Stadium next year-- and ticket prices rise accordingly. But there's a twist here that makes this story a little unusual. There are several season ticket holders who are now going on their third stadium in 28 years. (There are 535 season ticket accounts that go back more than 40 years.)And these people have suffered through a lot. They were forced to move their seats from the beloved on-campus Memorial Stadium to the hideous (although made for football) Metrodome downtown. They have stuck it out through several losing seasons (Minnesota was 1-11 last year and hasn't been to a Rose Bowl since 1962 -- the longest current drought in the Big Ten). So, they are understandably unhappy when the school told them recently their seats in the new place will depend on a points system based on how much money they contributed towards the new stadium. It may be standard practice in the college stadium biz but it's not going well with everybody in Minneapolis. There are details about the plan and some folks reaction to it in the Star Tribune's article on it here. http://www.startribune.com/sports/gophers/..._refer=Homepage Quote
Zip N' Dots Posted May 28, 2008 Report Posted May 28, 2008 I bought the founding team package as well, no mention of getting to pick my own seats though. Did you buy the Priority Reserved or Reserved package? Also, I notcied that on the stadium link, the ticket prices aren't there yet, they are on GOZips.com under tickets but not the stadium link. How do you think UA can say that they sell 15,000 a year? They wrap tickets in with there corporate sponsorships. Quote
