ZachTheZip
Glenville standouts choose the Zips. This is great news. CB Johnny Robinson Jr. and S DeVonte Morgan are heading to Akron. Welcome aboard, guys!
Big Zip
That Glenville program has a lot of talent but I've always felt they lack disciplline to get the job done....year in and year out they seem to come up short and when I watch the game it appears to be a bunch of individuals playing football. I'm hopeful these two will adapt to the structured discipline way ICoach runs his team. They is already going to be culture shock from the lack of wins. MaxZIP
"I liked the facilities, and the coaches said I'll have the opportunity to play as a true freshman," said the 5-10, 190-pound Robinson, referring to the official visit he and Morgan took last weekend." "Ohio University offered me a scholarship but Akron really wants me, and the chance of playing right away there is good," said Morgan, a 6-1, 185-pound safety. "It's less than an hour away from home so my family will get to see me play." Sounds like Icoach has changed his game a little. He is begining to sell the program too bad it revolves around being bad enough for pretty much anybody to start as a freshman. Does anybody know if any of the other recruits had DIV1a offers prior to comitting to the Zips?

I remember Austin Bailey saying the exact same thing, and he seems like a good one to me.

Buckzip
Ted Ginn is a horrible coach. He has more talent, than nearly anyone else, every year and still loses in the state playoffs. It is amazing how many D1 players come from Glenville every year. Happy to set up a pipeline to Glenville. Now let's get Walker, Wynn, Jones and Sturdivant

"It's less than an hour away from home so my family will get to see me play." First of all, welcome. The one thing I would really like to see recruits say is, "I am coming to Akron for two reasons. First, I want to be part of a great turnaround. Second, I believe I can start right away and contribute to the winning." I want to see players talk about winning and not facilities or playing right away. Those are important, but winning is the most important of all. How about: "I didn't want to be just another OSU player, I want to be one of the players on the second Akron team to beat OSU!

They were a national top 5 team and Morgan was a terror on defense that day.
