  1. Until I get confirmation that I can share it(which I expect in a matter of days), all I can say at this point is Coach Croft just got the program a top notch player in this class. Numerous power conference schools wanted this player, and I heard that one of them may have been the Florida Gators. Instead, she chose staying close to home(entering her senior year of high school 29 miles southeast of Akron) than to go to a big program. Great pickup by the Lady Zips. Once I get the word I can publicly say it, I will post her highlight videos of 2011, 2012, and 2013 seasons on here. Plus, I'll PM anyone that wants the schedule to check out her game and her high school team if you want to do so. Potentially, the best recruit Coach Croft has had since he was hired at Akron to replace Coach Pfau. Once again, great job by Coach Croft and the staff for getting this student athlete to stay in Northeast Ohio!!!!!!

  2. He redshirted in 2011. That means his eligibility runs out at the end of the 2015 season no matter what happens. He'll either get the waiver and play both this season and next, or he'll sit for a year and play in 2015 before graduating. If OSU puts in the good word for him, I think he'll get the waiver. Only question is whether the NCAA moves fast enough that it's granted before the season starts.

  5. Dr Z, that's a great example of how the internet can provide useful information on obscure subjects. I recently revived an old, non-functioning stereo turntable by finding detailed instructions on a vintage stereo forum. Do you recall how much you paid 10 years ago for you lifetime subscription? The offer I've never forgotten for more than 50 years is the one from Playboy Magazine back around 1960. They offered a lifetime subscription for just $50, and the first issue was personally delivered to your door by a Playboy Bunny! Having recently entered puberty at the time, I desperately tried but ultimately failed to figure out a way to make it happen without my parents knowing.
