This team is ridiculously similar to the 26-7 team that got crapped on by the NIT after the Penno loss. I don't see at large happening unless they win the remainder and lose a tight one in the tournament final. I see no way this team wins out, though things have looked more cohesive of late. A gaudy record, top 25 rpi, and likely position in the national polls would be impossible to ignore. But it doesn't matter, because it won't happen.

I like the improvement we've seen lately on the defensive end of the floor. I can live with giving up a few threes. What I couldn't take was opposing guards slashing freely to the paint. Zipsrule said it pretty well in that we're beginning to look a bit like the old Akron. Other thoughts, Kwan doesn't have to drop 15 to be valuable. He's making better decisions and made a couple of great passes into the paint. Big Dog is going to get paid . It will probably be in Europe but if he continues to improve he's going to be rewarded down the line. I like where we are right now. We can get scoring from all five spots. We are getting tougher to defend.

Amazing that you can hold a team to 60 points when they hit 13 3-pointers. Keith commented about our high (18) turnovers that we created today, and that we are possibly starting to resemble the "Old Akron". I'd love to see this team mold themselves into that kind of team. I didn't like the trend of giving up so many points. That was a really solid road win.
