The Govs have no chance at an at-large berth to th big dance, nor does any other OVC team that does not win the League Tournament, it just does not happen for us.The Peay is guarenteed a NIT bid now that we have won the regular season championship, a new rule/invite that the new NIT has created for schools that win the regular season crown, but do not win there league's tournament (perfect example: the 2004 Govs went 16-0 in the regular season, but lost in the Championship game, and did not make the big dance). As for predictions, I like my Govs chances, not as a homer, but in Match-ups. It all starts and ends for this team on the Defensive end. With Dials, Middleton, and Joyce, size-wise we match up, and I think the quickness advantage may go to the Zips, but there is just something about this team that they play great team defense, very active hands, help side when needed, sprining a double team out of no where at times, I like our chances out front.Front line scares me to death. The Zips have a size advatage with Travis, but if we can get him out of the paint to defend, I like our quickness advantage there. Reed and Lockett are both good off the dribble, and the both have something going for them that is almost lost in today's game, the mid range (12-17 feet) jump shot. In today's game, the big men will let others just take that shot, almost unguarded, and if you give that to them, they can wear you out!If the Govs can defend the big man, and rebound, I will take the Govs in a close one.APSU 71Akron 66Let's Go Peay!
