Lady Zips fall to Tennessee State 72-68. Not sure what happened here but they have a quick turnaround and travel to Bellarmine Sunday.

On the cusp on a HUGE win. Up 8 under a minute left. MOBLEY eating today. Awesome.

What an impressive 3rd quarter! I also think the backdrops up top look sharp and create a more aesthetically pleasing, intimate, and focused game watch experience.

The Gensler Era enters its second season kicking off hosting Georgia State in the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge Monday night. I'm not really sure what our expectations should be with Reagan heading to West Lafayette and a lot of new faces on the squad but I'm looking forward to seeing the girls back in action.

Um, quite the resume coming off one year at a Florida community college. 17 mpg 5.1 ppg 1.5 apg 1.7 rpg https://www.nwfraiders.com/sports/wbkb/2022-23/bios/davis_jaela_m207 I guess she’s got some size for a PG, but not sure what we’re doing here.

• Reagan Bass, 6-1 JR forward, Strongsville, OH • Olivia Brown, 5-7 FR point guard, Fishers, IN

Very nice offensive 1Q. Good guys by 7.
-
16 turnovers at half ain’t gonna cut it, but this team has showed they don’t quit and have had some nice 2nd half showings this year so if they can clean it up a bit in the 3rd they can make it respectable.
-
Couldn’t get anything to go down to start the game but the girls played VERY well in the 2nd. Down to single digits at half.
-
Let’s get a maximum effort here and have some balls bounce our way today. Sweep the weekend against Portage County Community College. Go Zips!
-
Impressive first half! Incredible effort up 35-14 at half!
-
You have to find a way to get Reagan more than 5 FGA. What on earth is going on here?
-
If we’re looking for improvement we just scored 48 points at home against a 5-13 team that’s in the bottom 15% of all WBB per NET. We’re 2-8 in conference with the best post in the league and maybe best player in school history. Yep, can’t wait to see what Coach can do with real talent. Cool story in the ABJ on a big time transfer pickup this year contributing 3.5 points per game though.

I too think highly of the program. That’s why I enjoy actually being in the “Top 4” when we have the MAC Player of the Year on our team. This years squad is also a team upperclassmen, yet the program is in last place in the MAC. Now that’s an “experiment” to put in the trophy case.
-
That’s quite a bizarre way to frame something. So you like more losses against non “winning” MAC teams. Got it. I wouldn’t consider last place in the MAC as progress. The teams that are above you in the standings get to play in Cleveland in March, FYI.
-
Is this the much needed change the program needed? I’m just glad we’re not “middle of the road” anymore, playing in Cleveland in March, and recruiting multiple MAC Player of the Years. Good thing Reagan likes engineering classes. Chuck Guthrie holds the program to a higher standard. Now excuse me, I’ll get back to monitoring the football transfer portal. We’re just one DB away from adding a second win in the MAC next year.
-
17-10 good guys after one. Let’s hope the Flashes keep struggling from 3.
-
Obviously a discouraging start to conference play, even worse considering how bad the MAC is this year. I found it interesting that the MACs Conference NET ranking is 22 out of 32 Division I conferences this season. 2022-23 was 14 2021-22 was 11 2020-21 was 10. A rivalry win would be a nice confidence boost, but even more importantly, showing improvement and growth over the next month where there are several winnable games should be seen.
-
If our second best player is a PG who played 30 minutes and had 3 assists that’s worrisome. After Ball State the schedule gets more manageable so should see improvement throughout January.
-
I did not realize returning CSU Horizon League POY Destiny Leo is out for the season after suffering a leg injury last week.
-
17.5 point dogs seems like a bit much today. Let’s hope for a good showing at the Wolstein. Go Zips!
