Skip-Zip: I agree. Get in and just several hours driving distance. HOWEVER, There can be a huge difference between a 13 seed and a 14 seed as far as the possibilities of pulling the upset.

IMHO: I think it is a mistake for the Zips to be thinking about the MAC tournament right now. I like what KD has been saying in his post game comments. That is, they must continue to strive for improvement each game. The great coach John Wooden supposedly never or rarely used the words "winning" or "losing" in practices. Rather used the phrase "successful". It would be good for the Zips to get rid of the popular thought of "the only way to get in the NCAA'S is to win the MAC tournament". Thinking this way could possibly lead to a mental lapse during one or more of the remaining regular season games, including the game at Oral Roberts. Just play all out IN EVERY GAME.

Saw on Miamihawktalk that Julian's Mavunga's half-brother was killed in a car accident yesterday or early this morning. Prayers go out to his family and the team.

I got on the Tar Heel website and watched the post-game interviews, which of course included Speas. He was asked several questoins, comparing last years title and this years title. The other question was why he transferred. Before he anwsered he took a drink of water , took his time and then basically stated that it time for him to move on. I do not blame either him or Coach Porter for the split.
