    I mentioned this in another thread. How many things sound as sweet as " NATIONAL CHAMPIONS" ?? I like basketball and football and baseball better, but give us the national title!!!!!!!!!!

    For those of you downplaying the importance of the Men's soccer program compared to football and basketball,let me state that VERY FEW THINGS IN COLLEGE ATHLETICS SOUND SWEETER THAN : NATIONAL CHAMPIONS. And that is what the Zips Men's soccer program came within an eyelash of becoming!!!

    Anybody realize that in Miami's 55-53 overtime victory over Can't last night in Oxford, that the score was 24-11 Can't at the half!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wonder how many times a team has just barely made it into double digits by the half, and come back to win?????

    I always pay attention during warm-ups. This time I had my head turned, talking to someone. I am the one nailed by the shot. Felt like a fastball in the ribs, (I play baseball), only this time in a bad spot. I was indeed a bit sore for a while!!!

    With 5 minutes to, in Albquerque , Portland scored to even the match with New Mexico at 1-1. In overtime, Portland got a red card, but scored to win it.
