    Posters like you were another issue here. Not why I left though. I just laugh. 
     

    Not sure why I have to choose which of my Alma Mater I have to be a fan of. I never started an OSU thread ever, but would certainly reply when posters had to go all SDS like you with the name calling and attacking my other alma mater.

     

    Just like I would if anyone on an OSU board would attack UA, which never happens. Most cheered for Akron in our bowl games because most always want other Ohio schools to do well. 

    Glad you’re here to keep up the tradition. 

     

    Now go on and say every OSU fan you know is a “name your favorite insult”. That’s what usually follows.

    I used to post quite a bit  at this site for years. Up until CK, or one of the other mods, banned me for a couple months for calling out Outsider for bashing everything Akron and only being a Bowden family member or fanboy. Looked through some posts here and see he’s still the same while others have left. 
     

    Big UA fan but done with this site. I see a lot of long time posters aren’t here anymore. So few posters yet the mods ban guys over a troll. SMFH. 

     

    Only stopped by here to see if there was any news on the season since the Gozips site has nothing. No current roster or media guide. Ridiculous.

    i bet all,  cause no one thought that would be the case, so let’s go & support them, they work all year long (in season & out) for this chance & let’s rally behind them

     

    if they lay an egg, let’s all get on here & express our displeasure but let’s support them first

    This type of post always boggles my mind. We are all here because we are fans and we do support the team. However, we are realistic and realize that this team is not very good. You really should give your "support your team" pep talk to Joe Akron that doesn't even know Akron has a football team. Calling anyone out here as not supporting the team is a bit odd. I am not calling you out by the way. Others have said the same type of thing and I honestly don't understand it.

    No one thinks Campbell will go to Columbus on the basis of a few seasons.  However, if he is successful over a long period of time at Iowa State against some really good opponents (coughOklahomacough), it is not crazy to think there will be some interest.  And that isn't just a bunch of "if's," that is a likely path for the next head coach in Columbus.  

     

     

    Good grief. This has nothing to do with OSU being above him or whatever you are trying to imply. I love the common opponent that some people play though. It makes me laugh.  You are just as bad as a couple others here. The guy is a great coach and will be a big time coach somewhere soon. Meyer isn't leaving soon and if you think Campbell is going to sit at ISU and wait, you are being extremely naive. I hope he continues on this path and does become the coach in Columbus some day. I just don't see it happening. He will get a bog time job before that and he probably won't leave one big time job for another.

    I an hoping for a win, but I predict a blowout for OU. 

     

    The sad part is that if UA beats KSU and makes a bowl game, the Bowden lovers will fall for the smoke and mirrors. It's like being a 500 team in the NBA. You aren't good enough to win anything, but not bad enough to get a lottery pick.

    Absolutely agree. This guy obviously thinks his son is all that and will throw everyone else under the bus defending him.

    OU will probably blow us out. If we get to a bowl game, we will be embarrassed. Sorry, not feeling very confident in this team at all.

    Too bad dad doesn't post here. It would be fun to read how out of touch he is on a regular basis. I think Kato has a bright future, but to attack the team like this is beyond bad. Kato is the type of guy that programs will stay away from because of his dad. We don't need anymore Ball families.

    When someone is suspended they normally aren't on the sidelines, even at a home game.

    Like I said during the game thread, this team is just painful to watch. I am not sure exactly what it is. On defense you know they are slow and rarely will get the guy attempting to turn the corner going wide. You also know the opposing QB will have plenty of time to throw the ball. On the rare times that they actually have a guy bottled up, you know they will miss the tackle.  On offense we have no game breaker. There is not one guy on this team that you keep hoping gets the ball in their hands because they have the ability to score every time they touch the ball. The offense is boring, not creative and lacks a single playmaker. 

     

    It's a combination of things with this team. Hell, even if we are close and have a shot at a chip shot winning FG at the end of a game, there is no confidence it will be made. 

     

    I watch because I am a lifelong Akron fan and an alum. But if I was just a college football fan that watched whenever football was on, there is no way I could watch more than 1/4 of an Akron game. It is just bad,  poorly coached football.  It often looks as if the team is even bored while playing. Very little enthusiasm shown by the team.

    Kato has a shot at being a very wood MAC QB. He’s a freshman and he will get better. The potential is there. With the always porous OL Akron has it is nice to have a QB with wheels. He does need to learn that this isn’t high school and you can’t outrun every defender on the field though. Not sure it matters who the QB is though when the WR can’t catch.
