Just posted something new at MAC Report Online, a Post-Season Wrap focusing on the MAC's three post season teams and a couple of coaches quotes and other stuff.Even though each team's fans and supporters feel a little down after the season-ending losses, remember that there were fans, alumni, etc... of nine other MAC teams that would have been quite happy to make it to postseason play.

Just posted our analysis of the APR numbers/penalties at MAC Report Online: NCAA's APR Takes Toll on MAC Schools..One area that I want to clarify is the general misunderstanding regarding application of the "squad size adjustment." This is an adjustment that is applied by the NCAA to schools based on their formula for such an application (see the article) and was not applied by request of schools, i.e. schools could not request this as an "exemption" to avoid penalties.The MAC's GPA rules also played a large role in the MAC receiving more penalties than most. The MAC's own higher standards, in other words, hurt its own cause when dealing with the APR formula.

Only two MAC squads are in the Top 100 this week.With the announcement by the NCAA that they will begin releasing their official RPI rankings on a weekly basis, we may discontinue doing the Composite.
